BMW Reaches a Massive Electric Milestone: Two Million and Counting

The road to the future just hit a major landmark. BMW recently celebrated the production of its two-millionth all-electric vehicle, a stunning achievement that proves the "Ultimate Driving Machine" is successfully making the leap into the electric era. The numbers coming out of this Lower Bavarian site are staggering. More than 320,000 all-electric vehicles have been built at Dingolfing in just a few short years, meaning nearly one out of every six electric BMWs on the road today started its life on this specific production line. By 2025, more than a quarter of all vehicles produced at the plant were fully electric, showing that the transition is happening in real-time on the shop floor.

The iFACTORY Strategy: Flexibility is the Future

What makes this two-million-vehicle milestone truly impressive is how BMW is achieving it. Through the "BMW iFACTORY" strategy, the company has avoided the need to build entirely separate factories for electric cars. Instead, they have mastered the art of "mixed build" production. On a single assembly line, BMW can build a gasoline-powered 5 Series, a plug-in hybrid, and a fully electric i5 right next to each other.

This technology-open approach gives BMW the flexibility to respond instantly to what customers actually want. It has also allowed the company to integrate electric mobility into every single German plant in the network, making "e-mobility" the new normal. Facelift For Bavarian Police Force BMW Vehicles

For the better part of 20 years, Bavarian police cars were manufactured with silver BMW 3 series vehicles. Prior to the silver color scheme, these vehicles sported a white base coat. Recently, the Bavarian government has decided to revamp their BMW police vehicles in terms of a color scheme. BMW Unveils New Brand Logo

With every successive geneartion, BMW has updated their brand in the form af a new logo which represents current, and projected, ideals of the company. As of today, BMW has unveiled their latest rendition of their brand logo. As pictured below, the updated BMW logo represents the current generation.
