The Enduring Allure of the Current BMW 7 Series: Why the G70 is the Flagship to Buy Now

The world of flagship luxury sedans moves fast, but the current-generation BMW 7 Series (G70) stands as a monument to modern opulence, creating an experience so comprehensive and bold that it is simply the definitive luxury purchase right now. As the calendar ticks toward the inevitable mid-cycle refresh (LCI), a compelling case emerges for securing the G70 in its pure, initial form—a statement of design, comfort, and technological audacity that remains untouched.

A Design Statement That Refuses to Whisper: Commanding Presence on the Road

The moment the current 7 Series comes into view, its intentional, almost defiant design sets it apart. The polarizing yet powerful aesthetic, dominated by the signature split-headlight design and the prominent, available illuminated 'Iconic Glow' kidney grille, is not merely styling—it is a confident declaration. For the driver who believes a flagship vehicle should not blend in, but rather command attention, the G70 delivers. This is a design born of conviction, and securing this model before any potential softening or tweaking in an LCI ensures you get the purest expression of BMW’s futuristic vision.

The Sanctuary Within: Reimagining the Luxury Cabin

Stepping inside the 7 Series is an immediate escape. The cabin masterfully combines high-tech minimalism with an abundance of tactile luxury. Materials like rich Merino leather and available cashmere upholstery transform the space into a true sanctuary. Technologically, the centerpiece is the sprawling BMW Curved Display, seamlessly merging the digital instrument cluster and central infotainment screen. This is complemented by the groundbreaking BMW Interaction Bar, a crystal-look dash element that integrates ambient light and sensitive controls, providing an intuitive and beautiful user interface running on the responsive iDrive 8.5 system.

Theater of the Future: Unmatched Rear-Seat Experience

While most flagships cater to the driver, the current G70 arguably saves its greatest marvels for the passengers. With the available Executive Lounge Seating, the rear right seat transforms into a near-fully reclining experience with a power footrest. The ultimate flex, however, is the 31-inch BMW Theater Screen. This cinematic display descends from the roof, complete with 8K resolution, built-in Amazon Fire TV, and 5G connectivity, effectively turning the back of the car into a private, world-class media lounge. This is a feature unique to this generation and one of the strongest arguments for immediate ownership.

The Perfect Balance: Power, Poise, and Proven Engineering

Beneath the lavish exterior and interior, the 7 Series retains the dynamic excellence expected of a BMW. The powertrain options—from the highly praised inline-six in the 740i to the potent V8 of the 760i xDrive, and the fully-electric i7—are all exemplary. Critically, the standard adaptive air suspension and Integral Active Steering (rear-wheel steering) ensure the car is both supremely comfortable on long highway cruises and surprisingly agile in city confines. Opting for the current model means acquiring a well-developed, fully-sorted platform with established reliability, sidestepping the initial teething issues that can sometimes accompany new LCI model introductions.

Conclusion: Seize the Ultimate Luxury Statement Before the Refresh

The current BMW 7 Series (G70) is more than just a luxury car; it is the ultimate expression of BMW's commitment to technology, comfort, and distinctive style. It offers a level of integrated luxury and groundbreaking passenger experience that sets a new industry benchmark. Before any potential changes arrive with a future LCI, now is the moment to acquire this perfected vision of the modern flagship sedan and enjoy the pinnacle of BMW luxury.

Facelift For Bavarian Police Force BMW Vehicles

For the better part of 20 years, Bavarian police cars were manufactured with silver BMW 3 series vehicles. Prior to the silver color scheme, these vehicles sported a white base coat. Recently, the Bavarian government has decided to revamp their BMW police vehicles in terms of a color scheme. The new color scheme draws inspiration from the nostalgic white base coat used prior to 2003.  Modeled after their previously utilized retro white, blue, and yellow color scheme, new Bavarian BMW police vehicles have gone back to their roots by shedding the apparently outdated silver and green paint job. All new Bavarian police vehicle will be manufactured from BMW 3 Series Touring models with the new color scheme. This shift comes primarily from BMW's discontinuation of the Glacier Silver base color for the 3 series, but a higher resale value for white vehicles might also be a variable.  In contrast to the prior white Bavarian police BMWs, the new vehicles will be manufactured with a Mine...

Based on recent spy photos of the new 2022 BMW X5 M model, a concept artist has rendered a very realistic, and potentially accurate, rendition of the vehicle changes. Although the exterior changes are minor compared to the 2021 model, the rendering shows updated headlights, a redesigned lower front end, and an added lip on the competition model.  In comparison, the majority of changes are reserved for the interior of the vehicle, and these updates include larger screens and a seamless curvature inspired design.
